No. HomeCare has no accounts — open it and start. We do not ask for an email address, a name, a phone number or a date of birth, and everything about your pets and your fridge stays on your phone.
Not by default. Check-ins, health records, album photos, groceries and meal lists all stay on your phone; we have no servers of our own and cannot see what you keep or what is in your fridge. Only if you turn on cloud sync in Settings (Premium) is a backup copy kept in your own iCloud or Google Drive — your account, which we cannot reach.
No on both counts. HomeCare records and reminds; it is not a medical device. The "worth watching" notes and anomaly checks are simple rules applied to what you entered. If anything about your pet's health seems wrong, consult a qualified vet. We say so on the home page, the privacy page and in settings.
Free: unlimited check-ins, unlimited pets, unlimited emergency contacts and weight entries, 15 food items, 30 album photos, 3 health schedules, 3 vet contacts, 10 packaging scans a month, basic stats and the PDF report. Premium is NT$90 once, lifts every one of those limits and adds the walk log, the pet spending tab, trend charts, side-by-side album comparison and multiple shopping lists.
It is not AI and there is no LLM. It compares your check-ins against simple rules on your phone: three days running at the lowest level for appetite, stools or energy; more than 10% weight loss within 30 days; a vaccine due within seven days or overdue. All local, nothing uploaded. It flags something worth a look — it does not diagnose.
Reading happens on your phone and the photo never leaves the device; the first time, the phone downloads the recognition model (download only — no photos are uploaded). It picks out the product name and the use-by date, shows them for you to confirm before saving, and you can correct anything by hand. The free tier allows 10 a month; the quota is deducted after a successful read, so cancelling or a failed attempt costs nothing, and it resets each calendar month. Premium has no limit. Date parsing distinguishes day-first from year-first formats, so "24/04/2026" is not read as the year 24.
You build a list of the meals you cook or the takeaways you order, then tap to draw one. Past picks are set aside, so nothing repeats for days on end; once the list is exhausted it starts over. It also checks the fridge and puts the dishes you can actually make first, ideally using up what is about to turn. Building lists and drawing from them is free; Premium allows several lists.
Neither. The walk log is a diary you fill in yourself with duration and distance — no GPS, and we never ask for location permission. It is a Premium tab. Emergency contacts are a small address book kept inside the app; we never read your phone's contacts. Neither permission is requested at all.
You get a Premium prompt — nothing is ever charged quietly. The 16th food item, the 31st photo, the 4th health schedule and the 4th vet contact are the gates. NT$90 once lifts all of them and adds the walk log and pet spending tabs.
The schedule works out a suggested interval from the type of vaccine. It is a general reminder and the next date is an estimate. For actual vaccine, worming and medication intervals, follow the vet you trust. HomeCare is not responsible for consequences of acting early or late on an estimate, as the terms set out.
None at all. Set the time for a daily check-in reminder, how far ahead to warn about a vaccine, or how many days before food expires, and the app sends a local notification on your phone. Both the notification and its scheduling happen on the device; no server is involved. It works without notification permission too — you just have to open the app yourself.
It depends on cloud sync. With it on (Premium), sign in to the same Apple ID or Google account on the new phone and restore. Switching between iPhone and Android, use Premium’s backup file instead: export on the old phone, import on the new one. Without it, the data stays on the old phone and the new one starts from scratch. The Premium unlock itself travels through Restore Purchases on the App Store or Play Store.
No. Purchases on iPhone are held against your Apple ID and purchases on Android against your Google account, and the two stores do not share them.
Both the app and this website are available in eight: Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, German and Portuguese. The app follows your phone's system language, and you can also pick one in settings.
